Tulipes

The Tulipes motif is a recurring theme in the Faïencerie's iconography. It refers to Louis XIV's official flower. It was during this period that tulips, prestigious flowers sold at exorbitant prices, became popular throughout much of Europe. This black version accentuates the graphic effect and modernises this great classic from Gien's heritage.
